Kenya’s only hockey team, with no one to play in their country, was flown to Canada for their very first game.
But that’s not all. In addition to wearing hockey jerseys for the first time, they were joined by two new teammates, Sidney Crosby and Nate MacKinnon.

Tim Hortons, which flew the team to Canada for the game, posted a video of the team’s story.
The video shows the team practicing in Kenya, watching Sidney Crosby play hockey on television and the team’s trip to Canada.

The team walked into the locker room and found team jerseys with their names on them, and that’s when it happened. Crosby and MacKinnon walked in and shook their hands and told the team they would be playing alongside them for the game.
Some of the men on Kenya’s team were moved to tears.
