PITTSBURGH — The Red Sox are World Series champions and the Pittsburgh Pirates... well the Pirates aren't. But now that the season is over we can move on to 2019 and let hope begin anew.

The Pirates have released their 2019 Schedule, and while it doesn't include any matchups against the Sox during the regular season, there are three Spring Training games on the board.

The games will take place March 6, March 17 and a split-squad game on March 23.

During the regular season, the Pirates will have their usual National League slate of games plus inter-league games against the American League West.

So while we root for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins, those of us who are Pirates diehards only have to wait four months until pitchers and catchers report to Bradenton.
