Game-day reminders for Steelers vs Bills game Sunday night at Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH — Do you have plans to head to Heinz Field on Sunday to watch our Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Buffalo Bills? If so, here are some thing you need to know before the game.

WHEN TO ARRIVE

Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 8:20 p.m., so fans are asked to arrive two hours early to help avoid a lot of traffic and last-minute crowds trying to get into the game. All gates open at 6:20 p.m.

TICKETING

Fans who buy tickets through Ticketmaster should download their tickets through the official Steelers Mobile app before heading to Heinz Field. Print-at-home tickets are not available through Ticketmaster, so no barcodes printed on paper will be accepted. Screenshots will also not be accepted. Regular hard-stock tickets will be accepted.

COUNTERFEIT TICKETS

The Steelers and management at Heinz Field want to remind fans to look out for counterfeit tickets when trying to buy from scalpers. All fans should ask that tickets be transferred to their cellphones so they can be accessed through the Steelers App, Ticketmaster App, or Ticketmaster.com.

BAG POLICY

Fans are also reminded that only clear bags will be allowed into Heinz Field. The “All Clear” bag policy only allows the following types of bags:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches
  • Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags available through The Steelers Pro Shop World Headquarters and all Steelers Sideline Stores

SECURITY AND STADIUM POLICIES

The Steelers and Heinz Field management want to remind fans about security and stadium policies. All fans must go through the walk-through metal detectors at the gate. Signs and clothing with foul language or other inappropriate messages are not allowed.

TRAFFIC ALERTS

Fans should use the navigation app Waze to find the best routes to and from the game. Fans can also download the official Steelers Mobile app for live traffic and parking updates on game day.

CONSTRUCTION AND DETOURS:

Drivers should be aware of the single-lane restrictions coming inbound due to the Route 51/19 project. There will be two lanes available outbound following the end of the game.

PARKING

People opting for game-day cash parking should consider parking in the following locations:

  • Golden Triangle, then riding the free Light Rail to get to Heinz Field.
  • Station Square, then riding the Gateway Clipper Fleet to get to Heinz Field.
  • South Hills Light Rail Lots (for free), and then riding the Light Rail to Heinz Field.

The reserved, pre-sold parking lots near the stadium open at 3:20 p.m. for game-day parking. Tailgating is permitted.
