Steelers hire new secondary coach

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced they hired Grady Brown as the new secondary coach.

Brown comes from college football, where he held several different roles. He was named the cornerbacks coach at the University of Houston on Feb. 8, but left that program to sign with the Steelers. Before that, Brown was the defensive coordinator at McNeese State as well as the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Old Dominion.

Brown is from Alabama and played defensive back at Alabama A&M. He played one season with the Tennessee Valley Vipers in the Arena Football League.
