Hilliard enters his 10th season as a wide receivers’ coach in the NFL. He served in the same capacity with the Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. While in Washington, he led the receiving corps including Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson. Both players eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark that season. Also in that group were Jamison Crowder and Ryan Grant.

As a player, Hilliard was selected 7th overall in the 1997 NFL Draft. He played 12 seasons spread between the New York Giants and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hilliard joins the team after the sudden death of coach Darryl Drake during training camp prior to the start of the 2019 season.
