PITTSBURGH — Add Casey DeSmith to the list of Penguins players undergoing offseason surgery.
DeSmith, 29, had an operation Thursday in Philadelphia to repair a bilateral core muscle injury, the team announced.
His recovery time is expected to be 6-8 weeks, which means he should be ready for the start of training camp in September.
