Peduto declares ‘Sidney Crosby Day’ as players honor Penguins captain

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto declared Feb. 20, 2021 as Sidney Crosby Day in honor of the hockey phenom’s 1,000th NHL game with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Penguins were taking on the New York Islanders Saturday night in Pittsburgh.

Former and current Penguins players along with Pittsburgh Steelers players have taken to social media to honor Crosby.
