Penguins playoff rally scheduled for Wednesday in Market Square

Pittsburgh Penguins fans are invited to gather in Market Square on Wednesday to rally and cheer on the team before they head back to the ice in their quest for the Stanley Cup.

The Penguins will face off against the Predators in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final series at PPG Paints Arena Wednesday night.

Festivities will begin in Market Square around 11:30 a.m. The rally is free and open to the public.

The Pittsburgh Penguins Ice Crew and Iceburgh will be interacting with fans and a limited amount of gold playoff T-shirts and rally towels will be available to attendees.

Paul Steigerwald will emcee the rally and Penguins alumni Colby Armstrong and Tyler Kennedy will be in attendance. Jonny Hartwell, from 3WS, will be the guest DJ.

The rally was organized by Mayor William Peduto and County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Pittsburgh Penguins and iHeartMedia.
