Pens’ defenseman Brian Dumoulin ‘making progress,’ not skating yet following surgery

PITTSBURGH — Brian Dumoulin has yet to resume skating since undergoing ankle surgery on Dec. 1, and Mike Sullivan says there is still no timeframe for when Dumoulin will resume skating.

When the Penguins announced Dumoulin underwent surgery to repair lacerated tendons, he was expected to be out a minimum of eight weeks, and we're close to the seven-week mark in his rehab. Sometime within the last two weeks, he began walking without using a walking boot on his left foot.

"All I can tell you is I do know he's making progress," Sullivan said of Dumoulin's status.
