Per multiple reports, the PIrates have acquired OF/SS Sean Rodriguez from the Atlanta Braves for a minor league infielder Connor Joe.
Rodriguez, 32, spent two years with Pittsburgh -- 2015-16 -- before being signed as a free agent by the Braves before the 2017 season. The Pirates originally acquired Rodriguez in December of 2014.

Rodriguez set career-highs in games played (140), home runs (18), RBI (56), batting average (.270), on-base percentage (.349), slugging percentage (.510) and OPS (.859) last season with Pittsburgh.

The Pirates are currently in third place in the NL Central and are 4.5 games behind the first-place Chicago Cubs.
