• Courtney Brennan

    A born and raised Pittsburgher, Courtney Brennan was thrilled to join the Channel 11 News team in June of 2010!
    She worked as WPXI's Westmoreland County Bureau Chief for three years before moving into Pittsburgh and working as a nightside reporter in the city. 
    Courtney was born on the North Side and raised in the North Hills. She received her journalism degree from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She also has her bachelor's degree in public policy with a focus on education issues.
    Courtney's first job was a "one-man-band" reporter at WKTV in Utica, New York. From there, she went out to the Midwest and worked as a reporter at WQAD in the Quad Cities. Her third stop was in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.
    At WPXI, Courtney led the station's reporting of the Jerry Sandusky Trial, helping the station win several awards for its coverage.
    A three-time Emmy Award-winning and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning reporter, Courtney is most proud to live and work in the hometown she loves while serving the people who make Pittsburgh great!
