Chance for showers during humid Memorial Day weekend

PITTSBURGH — Go about your evening plans outdoors as temperatures will be warm and the skies will be mostly quiet.

A stray shower can’t be ruled out up around I-80, but aside from that it’s dry for the area.

Areas of fog will develop again overnight, especially along the rivers and in the valleys. Lows will be near 60 degrees.

Sunday morning may bring a few showers from west to east across our area. We’re also tracking a chance of some pop-up showers or storms Sunday afternoon and evening.

Model data also show the potential for a complex of storms to develop along Lake Erie and move south through the overnight period of Sunday into Monday. This is something else that could happen, and we’re tracking how everything might evolve.

Otherwise, it will be very warm, and the humidity will be increasing through Memorial Day.

If you’re spending time outdoors, make sure you have your sunscreen on and plenty of water on hand.
