Damp, chilly Tuesday night ahead of steadier rain

PITTSBURGH — Keep the umbrella around through the end of the work week.

It will be a damp, chilly night with on and off rain showers.  A steadier light rain is possible after midnight through the early part of the Wednesday morning commute.

We get a break in the unsettled weather pattern Wednesday afternoon, but there will be more clouds than sun during the day. Highs Wednesday will reach the upper 50s.

The remnants of Hurricane Zeta and an additional low-pressure system will team up to bring heavy moisture to our area starting Wednesday night. That rain will continue Thursday and into Friday, too. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be possible with isolated higher totals of 3″.
