Increasing clouds ahead of Sunday rain chances

PITTSBURGH — Saturday featured milky sunshine and warm weather, a great afternoon to get outdoors or start raking some leaves.

Expect a cloudy sky Saturday night with the chance for a few passing showers. A cold front will move in from the north, giving areas along I-80 the best shot at rain.

Areas of fog will also develop overnight with lows in the upper 50s.

Sunday will bring a cloudy sky and highs near 70 degrees. Rain will develop from south to north throughout the day with the possibility of a few claps of thunder. Grab your umbrella before heading out, especially in the afternoon.

The rain heading to the area is the remnant moisture from Hurricane Delta. Rainfall amounts will be between 0.10 to 0.25 with isolated higher amounts. Some locations may even seen less than a tenth of an inch.

A second weather system will influence our weather by Monday evening and night. Plan on another chance of rain and thunder Monday night.
