Easter Sunday will bring snow to start, sunshine as day continues

PITTSBURGH — Happy Easter Sunday! A few light snow showers are moving through the area to start the day. High pressure will clear out all precipitation by the afternoon. Sunshine will peak between the clouds before more wintry precipitation affects the area for the new workweek.

Rain and snow will break out across the area Monday and linger into Tuesday. There could be some whitening of the ground, especially along and north of Route 422 from New Castle to Butler to Kittanning to Indiana.

A big warm-up starts Wednesday with highs in the mid- to upper 70s by next weekend.
