This wintry mix will transition over to scattered snow showers overnight. A light coating of snow is possible, mainly on trees, grassy areas and cars. Slightly higher snow accumulations can be expected around I-80 and in the ridges and mountains. As temperatures fall to near freezing, there could be some icy spots, especially on bridges, overpasses and ramps. Allow some extra time in the morning as you may need to clean some slush off your car.

Lingering light snow showers stick around through Monday morning. You’ll want to make sure the kids are bundled up for the bus stop with wind chills expected to be in the mid 20s. Clouds will break at times during the day but a few flurries or spotty mix is possible at times. Temperatures will reach near 40 degrees but the air will feel blustery. Breezy conditions will keep wind chills in the low 30s through the afternoon.

Dry conditions return Tuesday with warmer air into Wednesday. The next chance for rain will be late Wednesday night into Thursday.
