Mild evening as winds pick up, steady rain approaching

Sunday evening will be mild with lots of clouds around. Winds will pick up and we turn breezy with gusts approaching 20 mph.

Temperatures will climb to the mid 50s Monday morning with rain showers developing after midnight ahead of a cold front. Winds will continue to increase and gusts throughout the day will be between 30-35 mph.

A steadier rain is expected from 8 am to 1 pm. Rainfall amounts around a quarter of an inch and locally higher amounts are possible. Temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 50s through the mid-morning hours. This strong cold front should move through by midday, dropping temperatures behind it. Temperatures will fall through the 40s in the afternoon to the mid 30s by the evening. They’ll keep falling into the mid 20s overnight.

This batch of cold air stays in place Tuesday through Thursday with a chance of snow showers starting very early Wednesday morning.
