Major temperature drop brings winter chill to weekend

PITTSBURGH — Layer up as you head out for a walk around the block early Saturday. A little shot of winter is putting a chill in the air.

Temperatures will drop more than 40 degrees from Friday’s high of 72 to Saturday morning’s low of 28 – and a little wind will make it feel even colder.

Clouds will slowly give way to sunshine after lunch, but high temps won't make it out of the 40s.

Dry weather sticks around through Sunday, so there will be plenty of time to shake off the cabin fever this weekend with a walk outdoors.
