PITTSBURGH — UPDATE 11 p.m.
Strong storms have ended and the weather will be tranquil overnight, but the temperature and humidity will remain high with an oppressive dew point around 70 degrees.
It remains very warm and humid on Monday.
Showers and a few storms are likely in the afternoon and with so much moisture in the atmosphere, heavy flooding downpours are possible.
A cold front will push through early on Tuesday with a few showers and storms possible.
Cooler, drier, more comfortable and less humid air will return by Tuesday afternoon.
Conditions remain comfortable through Wednesday, before the humidity begins to increase by Thursday and Friday.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties until 7 p.m.

A tree is down with live wires on Castle Road in Castle Shannon, according to Allegheny County's Twitter page.

In Bethel Park, Route 88/Library Road is closed in the area of Brightwood Road North. Trees have brought wires down on Horning and Baptist Road.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Allegheny and Washington counties.

There is a chance of scattered showers and storms Sunday through Tuesday.
Some of the storms early next week could bring rounds of heavy rain. Parts of the area may see up to 3" of rain by Tuesday.
