Heat, chance for showers to continue Thursday

PITTSBURGH — Active weather through the Mid-Atlantic stretching across just to our south from a stalled-out front will continue to keep most of our area dry over the next few days.

The heat will continue this week with above average temperatures and a slight chance of a few isolated showers or storms -- mainly in our south and east counties in the afternoon and evenings.

The weekend will not be as warm but still humid with a better chance to see more widespread showers or storms for the entire viewing area.

Rain chances will continue into Monday with humid conditions, but after that, slightly cooler and less humid air should make a comeback next week.
