Dry, temps near 70 Thursday before rain moves back in

PITTSBURGH — Get outdoors today before rain moves back in to close out the workweek and start Mother’s Day Weekend.

Quiet and seasonal conditions will make bike rides and outdoor walks pleasant today. Highs will be near 70 degrees with a light wind.

Our next weathermaker is approaching from the west. Showers and thunderstorms will return Friday. A few thunderstorms could be severe, including heavy rain, damaging wind gusts, and frequent lightning. Flooding will need to be monitored around creeks and streams. Be weather aware throughout the day.

Rain continues into Saturday. Showers will wrap up during the afternoon and the evening looks good if you want to take mom out for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Sunday will be nice for mom. Expect mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures.
