Rain, chance for thunderstorms coming this week

PITTSBURGH — Shake the cabin fever with a walk, or a bike ride Wednesday. Temperatures will climb near 60 degrees, and we’ll see some sunshine.

Clouds will roll in late day, with showers developing before sunset – and there could be a round of steadier rain and maybe a thunderstorm into early Thursday morning.

Thursday will be even milder, with highs near 70 degrees and many dry hours before the next round of rain moves in.

If you do head out, take the Severe Weather Team 11 app with you, as thunderstorms are in the forecast once again.

Widespread severe weather isn't expected at this point, but any T-storm produces lightning, along with the threat for gusty winds and heavy downpours.

More rain and the threat for a storm continues off and on Friday.
