Temperatures drop below freezing overnight, snow possible

PITTSBURGH — Scattered showers will move through our area this evening. The strongest will be capable of brief heavy rain, lightning and small hail.

Friday will bring light scattered snow showers in the morning with little, if any, accumulation. Snow may stick on elevated and grassy surfaces. Highs on Friday will be in the low 40s but it will feel like the 20s in the morning and near freezing in the afternoon. This is due to winds that will gust up to 40 mph from time to time.

Easter weekend will bring a mostly sunny sky with increasing clouds Saturday and a chance for showers in the morning on Sunday. Expect steadier rain by nightfall Sunday.
