Wintry mix turning to rain overnight, icy spots possible

PITTSBURGH — A wintry mix of rain and snow will change to all rain for most areas by Thursday morning, but icy spots will still be possible – especially north of Pittsburgh where several inches of snow is possible.

Temperatures will climb into the mid-30s keeping roads wet, but you’ll want to check road conditions carefully, as untreated surfaces could still be slick where colder air sticks around.

A soaking rain could lead to rises along creeks and streams.

Keep the winter coats and snow scrapers handy through the day Thursday, as another shot of cold air takes temperatures back below freezing with scattered snow showers off and on.
