Celebrate America the Pittsburgh Way: Annual July 4 event to be held at Point State Park

Celebrate America the Pittsburgh way at Point State Park surrounded by the three rivers this Fourth of July.

Pittsburgh’s official Independence Day celebration, the EQT Flashes of Freedom Celebrate America Pittsburgh, will kick off at noon on July 1. Celebrate America is a free community event.

From kids’ activities to music on the main stage, the annual event is full of entertainment throughout The Point.

At the Kids Zone, the youngest patriots can enjoy craft making, face painting, airbrush tattoos, gem mining, interactive activities, caricature drawings and more.

In the park, visitors of all ages will enjoy a military appreciation expo and entertainment on the main stage. There will also be a U.S. Air Force flyover visible from all outdoor locations.

No Fourth of July celebration – especially one in Pittsburgh – would be complete without fireworks. The big finale to the celebration is slated for 9:35 p.m. July Fourth

The EQT Flashes of Freedom Fireworks is recognized as one of the top 10 fireworks displays in the United States,  according to the American Pyrotechnics Association.
