1 dead, 2 injured after shots fired at group of people in Fineview

PITTSBURGH — One person was killed and two others were wounded when multiple gunshots were fired at a group of people by at least two shooters, police said.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Belleau Drive at the Allegheny Dwellings in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Fineview around 12:35 a.m. Sunday.

According to the police investigation, there were multiple gunshots fired from the street and a nearby hillside by at least two shooters.

Ricardo Washington Jr., 30, of Pittsburgh, was shot multiple times and transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The medical examiner said a cause and manner of death are pending.

A 26-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her left foot and was in stable condition. A third victim, also a 30-year-old man, was transported to Allegheny General Hospital by private means and was in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
