Man, woman dead after shooting in Pittsburgh neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A man and woman are dead after a shooting in Pittsburgh's Perry South neighborhood Sunday evening.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Divinity Street and Clayton Avenue.

Police said Gerald Harris, 19, was found dead inside an abandoned home.

Isha Tyree, 20, was found inside a vehicle across the street. She was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where she later died.

Police said Tyree appeared nervous in a post on Snapchat that she recorded minutes before she was shot.

“I don’t like all of these cars flying past me like this. Why are you flying past me? That makes me uncomfortable,” she said in the video post.

Both victims were shot multiple times. The shooter fled on foot, according to officials.

Harris’ mother, Carmella Harris, told Channel 11 News Monday that her son has a child with Deona Barnett, a pregnant mother of five who was gunned down in July as she walked down the street.

“Me and him were so close. That part of me is gone. I’m not ever going to get that back,” she said. “I just want the person who did it to come forward or for the police to get them.”

The Violent Crime Unit is investigating.
