2 hurt in crash involving mail truck, car in Shaler

SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A United States Postal Service truck was involved in a crash Monday morning in Shaler Township.

The accident was reported about 11:30 a.m. on Vilsack Road.

Chopper 11 flew over the scene, where the postal truck and a car were seen up a small hillside in the front yard of a home. Emergency crews were also at the scene.

Two people were injured. Details about their conditions were not immediately available.

Vilsack Road was closed between Mount Royal Boulevard and Sunnyfield Drive while crews worked to clear the accident. It reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
