PITTSBURGH — Two men who were suffering from gunshot wounds showed up at a Pittsburgh hospital early Sunday morning after a shooting in the city’s Allentown neighborhood, police said.

Officers who were patrolling in the Allentown area responded shortly before 4 a.m. to the 200 block of Helen Way after shots were heard, according to police. Minutes later, the two victims arrived at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

A Pittsburgh police spokeswoman said officers at the scene of the shooting found a vehicle that had been damaged by the gunfire, as well as shell casings and blood on the ground. People who were in the area at the time reported hearing several gunshots and saw people fleeing.

One of the men, 28, who was injured in the shooting was shot several times in his legs and was last listed in stable condition, police said. The second man, 24, was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound in his buttocks.
