2 PPS students facing charges after being accused of possessing cocaine, pills

PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh Public Schools students are facing charges and disciplinary action after they were found Thursday in possession of a small amount of cocaine and pills, a school district spokeswoman said.

The students both attend Pittsburgh Clayton, an alternative education school within PPS for grades six-12.

The spokeswoman said the pills found on the students were not narcotics.

She said one student was taken to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center, and the other was released to a guardian.
