4 arrested after drugs, guns found inside home with children inside

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police arrested four people Thursday after guns and several different types of drugs were found in a Hill District home with children inside.

An ongoing shooting investigation along Bedford Avenue led police to the home, with police alleging the children inside were “in easy reach” of drugs and guns, according to a criminal complaint.

According to the complaint, police were conducting surveillance at 1634 Bedford Avenue for a reported gang member staying there.

Police said they spotted Julian Crosby leaving the home and approached him. Police allege Crosby smelled of a strong marijuana odor. While conducting a search, officials said they found a large bag of marijuana and a gun.

Police arrested Crosby and returned to the home, where they saw Isaac Harrison and Jawan Palmer.

According to the complaint, police found four children, between the ages of 1 and 14, alongside Tenese Pack, who owns the home.

Police allege that a handgun, a scale and Xanax were on the kitchen counter in plain sight. Heroin was found in an upstairs bedroom.

According to the criminal complaint, "Pack was extremely uncooperative and adamantly refused to provide any of the children's information and instructed her children not to speak with us." Pack was arrested.

A search warrant eventually turned up three bricks of heroin, a bottle of Xanax, three bags of marijuana, a baggie of crack cocaine and several guns.

Crosby, Harrison, Palmer and Pack remain in jail and the four children are being cared for by a member of Pack’s family.
