Arrest made in early-morning false alarm at Steelers' Boston hotel

BOSTON — A man has been arrested in connection with a false fire alarm early Sunday morning at the Boston hotel where the Pittsburgh Steelers are staying ahead of the AFC Championship game.

Massachusetts State Police said they responded shortly after 3:30 a.m., along with fire crews, to the hotel in the area of Logan International Airport because of the alarm. It was found to be a false alarm upon arrival.

Investigators determined that 25-year-old Dennis Harrison, of East Boston, had activated a pull alarm, police said. He was found walking on the hotel property, but was not a guest.

Harrison “had no legitimate reason to be on the hotel property,” a news release from state police said.

Harrison is charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and setting off a false fire alarm.
