Beechview man accused of raping 2 women

A Beechview man has been charged in connection with two rape investigations.

Justin Stover, 29, was arrested early Thursday in Knoxville.

Police said Stover is accused of raping two women, one in September and another this week.

According to a criminal complaint, a woman said she was walking on Grape Street in Knoxville around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday when Stover approached her. She said Stover put her in a chokehold and force her behind the library on Brownsville Street, near a dumpster, and forced himself on her.

The criminal complaint states that, during the assault, Stover said he didn’t want to do it and his mother used to do it to him.

In addition to rape, Stover is also charged with unlawful restraint, involuntary deviated sexual intercourse, sexual assault, indecent assault, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
