Boy, 3, injured in hit-and-run accident in Pittsburgh's Troy Hill neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — A 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Thursday night after being hit by a car in Troy Hill.

Kaden Black is recovering at Children's Hospital with a shattered leg and bruises on his head and face.

The accident happened on Hatteras Street.

Black was trying to cross the street to play with other kids.

Witnesses said Black was hit by a small orange car.

Investigators said it's possible the driver didn't realize he or she hit the boy.

"I picked him up and started running after the car.  I was screaming, 'stop' and it just kept going," said Karen Leskowak.

Neighbors said drivers often speed on the street.
