A multivehicle crash on Route 28 caused traffic delays for the Friday evening rush hour.
Route 28 North at the Highland Park Bridge ramp was closed for more than an hour while crews cleared the scene.
All northbound traffic was detoured across the bridge, and traffic was backed up for miles. The road reopened just before 5:30 p.m.
At least one person was injured. No further information was released about his or her condition.
