Vehicles go up in flames inside Pittsburgh parking garage

PITTSBURGH — Crews were called to a downtown Pittsburgh parking garage Thursday afternoon for a report of a fire, emergency dispatchers confirmed to Channel 11 News.%

The call for the fire in the Stanwix Street parking garage came in around 4:15 p.m. Channel 11's Damany Lewis confirmed that two vehicles were on fire on the fourth floor of the garage.

As of 4:50 p.m., the fire was out, but the cause was not immediately known. No nearby buildings were evacuated.

Fort Duquesne Boulevard was closed between Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue as firefighters battled the blaze. The roadway has since reopened.
