YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Youngwood on Sunday morning.
According to investigators, the crash took place on Route 119 near East Hillis Street.
Police said a car was struck by a truck.
The driver of the car, 33-year-old William Schuler of Scottdale, was ejected. His passenger, Victoria Schuler, 29, was trapped. The couple’s two boys, ages 1 and 2, were in the back seat.%

The Schuler family was going to a special Mother's Day service at Keystone Free Will Baptist Church in Greensburg when the accident occurred, sending the family members to three different hospitals.
Victoria Schuler's mother was already at the church, waiting to surprise her daughter for Mother's Day, but they never arrived.
"Her mom got the phone call, and she went in the back," said Nate Alton, pastor of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church. "Someone got me, and we came back and were able to help her as she left for the hospital."
Following the accident, the car was hardly recognizable.
“We don’t know how they made it out after seeing the car; definitely God’s work,” Kelly Suter, Victoria Schuler’s sister, said.%

Suter said her 1-year-old nephew was released from the hospital Monday afternoon. His 2-year-old brother, mother and father all remain hospitalized. William Schuler is at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, and Victoria Schuler is at Forbes Hospital in critical condition.
“She just wants to get better and get home with her babies,” Suter said about her sister. “Her faith in God is amazing. She knows he’s got a hand in this and is helping her get through this.”
Police said the driver of the truck, Matthew Murphy, 24, of Scottdale, was found unconscious behind the wheel.
The investigation is ongoing. State police do not think drugs or alcohol were involved.
