Former Pittsburgh Steeler unveils newest art piece in South Side

PITTSBURGH — Former Pittsburgh Steeler and local artist Baron Batch unveiled his newest piece Wednesday in Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Batch transformed four garages at the corner of 15th and Bingham streets with his trademark elephant paintings. He said it’s part of his efforts to beautify the city.%

"I want people to be able to just, like, unexpectedly stumble upon something beautiful and have their day be better because of that,” Batch said.

He added that he paints elephants because, for him, they represent community and, therefore, his love for Pittsburgh.
