Several members of the cast of NBC’s hit show “This Is Us” were seen holding Terrible Towel bandanas. The show’s creator, Dan Fogelman, grew up in Bethel Park. He’s a Steelers fan, and the team has been involved in some storylines in the show.

Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto are also asking people to wear their black and gold to show support for the team ahead of their playoff game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fans can add decorations or ornaments to the “Terrible Tree” located in the courtyard of the Allegheny County Courthouse.

A Steelers pep rally will be held at Stage AE on the North Shore Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Some big names will be on hand, including former Steeler Jerome Bettis, Pittsburgh native and comedian Bill Gardell and Steelers game day announcer Larry Richert.
