In one day, supporters of Kari and Dave King raised $40,000 to help the family overcome the fire.

Via GoFundMe:

Last evening, one of our amazing Pittsburgh hockey families lost their home, all of their possessions and their beloved family dog in a devastating house fire in Mt. Lebanon.

Miraculously, Kari, Dave and their children, twins McKenzie and Meghan (13), Ashlyn (12) and Amanda (7) made it out safely but they will be facing overwhelming financial and emotional challenges in the coming weeks.

The King family is a vibrant part of our Pittsburgh hockey community and in times of need, the hockey community always rallies to help its own no matter what jerseys we wear!
