PITTSBURGH — A juvenile was shot Wednesday night while attempting to rob a business in Pittsburgh’s Upper Hill District neighborhood, Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.
Toler said the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Group Violence Intervention Unit was called to the 800 block of Shawnee Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. for a report that a male had been shot.%

Authorities determined during their preliminary investigation that a juvenile was involved with a business robbery at Rick’s on Bryn Mawr Road when he was shot, Toler said.
He was located a few blocks away on Shawnee Street near University Prep. His condition was not released.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
No additional information was immediately available.
