2 bystanders caught in crossfire of Lawrence County shooting

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. — Two bystanders were hit by stray bullets during a shooting in Lawrence County Tuesday evening.

Investigators said the shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. on Pin Oak Drive at Crestview Gardens in New Castle.

The district attorney said at least one person got out of a car and opened fire on a group of young men.

Police said none of the men in the group were struck, but a 14-year-old boy and another man who were standing nearby were hurt.

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital by the time police arrived at the scene.

So far, no arrests have been made.
