BURGETTSTOWN, Pa - The eighth annual Locks of Love Cut-A-Thon sponsored by Heaven Salon took place Saturday afternoon in Burgettstown.
The event offers free haircuts to people with ponytails that are at least 10 inches long and donates the hair to children who lost their hair while fighting cancer.
"My hair grows back. There's tons of girls with cancer that would love to have a long ponytail like that. So, this is my fifth time," said Jessica Buchanan, a participant at Saturday’s event.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go to Locks of Love.
