PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials announced that Interstate 79 ramps in Collier and Robinson will close Thursday due to road paving.
Paving will begin at 9 p.m. Thursday and continue through 5 a.m. Friday on the northbound I-79 on-ramp at the Carnegie interchange, exit 57, and the northbound I-79 off-ramp to eastbound Interstate 376 Parkway West, officials said.
Detours are posted and drivers are asked to allow for more travel time.
The work is part of a $2.84 million improvement project, which includes milling and resurfacing, bridge deck sealing and other miscellaneous construction in each direction on 4.8 miles of I-79.
