Authorities say a decomposed body found by kayakers over the weekend is that of a southwestern Pennsylvania man reported missing at Ohiopyle State Park in January.
The Fayette County Coroner and park officials say dental records and a watch have been used to positively identify 29-year-old Jeremy Walker.
Walker's family last heard from him New Year's Eve and crews began searching the park after his car was found parked there Jan. 2.
The park covers more than 20,000 acres and includes whitewater rapids on the Youghiogheny River. Dogs had previously traced Walker's scent from his car to a bridge over the river.
The remains were found about three miles downriver Saturday from where the dogs picked up Walker's scent.
An autopsy showed Walker drowned, though authorities haven't determined whether Walker jumped into the river or fell.
