Charleroi man attacked by 2 men during home invasion

CHARLEROI, Pa. — Police are looking for two men who attacked a Charleroi man as he returned home Tuesday night.

Michael Sezawich told Channel 11’s Dave Bondy that he was coming home from the American Legion, walked into his Washington Avenue home and was immediately shoved to the ground and attacked by two men.

Sezawich said he told the robbers he didn’t have much money, but they continued to beat him and stole what was inside his wallet.

“I managed to keep my eye on the guy with the gun, that was my main concern. The other one was just knocking me. Then, they grabbed everything in my pocket and took off,” Sezawich said.

According to police, a neighbor saw the two men run from Sezawich’s house, so she let her dog run after them. The dog wasn’t able to catch the men.

Sezawich suffered bruising and a sore back, but he didn’t require hospital treatment.

So far, no information about potential suspects has been released.
