CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A woman, man and toddler miraculously survived a crash caused by sun glare in Chartiers Township Wednesday.
Police said the driver couldn’t see in front of him as his car flew underneath a tractor-trailer.
Officials feared it was a fatal crash.
“When I first pulled up, there was a child seat in the snow and the top of the car was sheered off. I naturally thought the worst,” said Sgt. Mike Filosi.
The couple told police they ducked and were knocked backwards.
The three were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for minor injuries.
