CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. - An elderly man was severely beaten during a home invasion in Fayette County late Friday night.
Emergency dispatchers said the attack happened on East Francis Avenue in Connellsville at approximately 11 p.m.
State police said three juveniles, ages 14, 16 and 17, forced their way into the home, striking Caesar Gaspari, 79, in the head with a gun twice and stealing a safe.
All three juveniles were caught and taken to a juvenile placement facility, according to state police.
Gaspari was transported to Highlands Hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries.
