PITTSBURGH — Family and friends of a man shot to death inside of a Homewood banquet hall last October gathered Sunday night to ask for help in finding the person or people responsible for his death.
Demetrius Broadnax, 27, of Wilkinsburg, and Jasmine Morris, 21, of Penn Hills were killed inside of a the hall on Kelly Street.
During a candlelight vigil in honor of the victims, Broadnax’s family members said they are offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
“We want to know who killed Demetrius Broadnax. He’s still out there. We don’t know who he is,” said Broadnax’s godmother Larita Taylor. “We need to get our neighborhoods back. We need to come together as people, and we need to stop the violence. Bottom line.”
Broadnax was a father of three. So far, no arrests have been made.
