Fight over Connellsville Ten Commandments monument continues

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — The fight over a Ten Commandments monument at a local school continues.

The group “Thou Shall Not Move” held a rally Monday night at Connellsville Junior High School.

“We have signatures from almost 7,000 people who want to keep the commandments where they’re at,” said supporter Ewing Marrietta.

In 2012, an atheist group filed a lawsuit requesting the monument be removed. The marker has since been covered until the lawsuit is settled.
